Exploring Hyderabad: My 6-Day Solo Adventure from Pune

By Om Deshpande | Solo Traveller | City Explorer

Day 1: Pune to Hyderabad – The Solo Ride Begins

In 2022, I boarded a train from Pune to Hyderabad, ready for six days of solo exploration. I stayed at a clean, budget-friendly hostel in Lakdikapul — safe and centrally located.

Day 2: Charminar, Biryani & Bazaars

I visited the iconic Charminar, explored Laad Bazaar for bangles, Makkah Masjid for serenity, and Chowmahalla Palace for history. I wrapped up the day with spicy Hyderabadi biryani.

Day 3: Snow World & Hussain Sagar Lake

At Snow World, I enjoyed snow slides and winter vibes in the city. Later, I took a boat ride to the Buddha Statue at Hussain Sagar and ended with street food at Tank Bund Road.

Day 4: Ramoji Film City – A Dream World

An entire day at Ramoji Film City featured film sets, stunts, cultural shows, and guided tours — a paradise for movie lovers.

Day 5: Temples & Culture

I explored Birla Mandir, Jagannath Temple, and Chilkur Balaji. Later, I admired art and antiques at the Salar Jung Museum — truly awe-inspiring.

Day 6: Golconda Fort & Farewell

Climbing Golconda Fort offered stunning views and fascinating acoustics. I also visited Qutb Shahi Tombs, sipped coffee at Necklace Road, and took a night train back to Pune.
